The Bare Necessities

I first want to thank everyone for their kind words of encouragement. It means a lot to me.

This post won’t really give much insight into my personal life, but I hope to be able to mix things up a little bit from week to week. Sometimes it will be something I’m going through and other times it will be a thought I had or an insight I received from something I saw or heard.

This week I went to the movie theater to see The Jungle Book. After watching the movie I was reminded of the fact that none of us can do life alone, especially if you are a Christian trying to live a life of faith. Oh sure, we can try. But it is a hell of a lot easier with others.


One line, in particular, stood out to me. “The wolf makes the pack; the pack makes the wolf.” Reminds me of the words of Paul in 1st Corinthians 12 when he says “All of you together are Christ’s body, and each of you is a part of it (v. 27, NLT).” This was a recurring theme throughout the movie. the Advantage of Laser Eyes

In my last post, I shared how my Muscular Dystrophy has caused me to have great difficulty with communication. While the speech problems haven’t improved but worsened, my ability to communicate has drastically improved. This improvement is due to technology.


Last November I finally received the adaptive technology I was waiting for. There was a very steep learning curve at first, but now it is second nature when I use it. I guess I should briefly explain how it works. Continue reading “the Advantage of Laser Eyes”
